Canning Strawberry Sauce

If you love strawberries and you know it, raise your hands. I am so happy that our strawberry patch is now producing more fruit than before. We have talked about freezing fresh strawberries or canning strawberries in order to preserve them. You could also give canning strawberry sauce a try, why not?

Unlike other popular canning methods, this one actually only requires 2 ingredients. Actually, it is only one other ingredient besides the strawberries themselves. Dust off the water bath canner, as its services will be required for this recipe. The recipe itself, is pretty simple it just takes about an hour or so to complete.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Wash and clean your strawberries, before coating them with the sugar and leaving them to chill for at least 60 minutes. Whilst you wait for the strawberries, you can clean and sterilize your canning jars as well as lids. Make sure they stay hot while you prepare the sauce.

The sauce itself will take about 40 minutes to make refer to recipe below for directions, when it is ready you can move on to filling up the jars. Leave about an inch of headspace, wipe the rims and screw on the rings as well as the lids. Process in the water bath canner for 5 minutes. I personally leave my jars to seal overnight! 🙂
