DIY Wooden Outdoor Shower

They say cleanliness is next to godliness, which might explain why over the years I have featured many different shower designs on this blog. From the most recent diy basic homestead outdoor shower, which is my favorite to the diy bazooka outdoor solar shower and the diy wood pallet solar shower. The other day I found this really nice diy wooden outdoor shower design.

If you really want a fancy looking outdoor shower on your homestead, off grid cabin or camp site, I think this is the easiest and most affordable one, I have seen so far. To save on costs you can reuse some of the lumber and the shower fittings. Without doing any of that, the total cost is still only about $200 for this project.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

You’ll start of my building the frame for your base, and then cutting your decking and attaching it on to the top of the frame. A small spacer is used to space the decking and allow for drainage when using the shower. Next are the walls, which are built by creating a groove on each posts and then sliding down the boards into place.

With your three walls up, you can move on to your door. I like how he cleverly inserts a wooden deadbolt, that allows you to shut the door when using the shower. All your shower plumbing will go to the back wall and can be hidden or left exposed it is up to you. They have attached their shower to the side of the cabin, but I feel like if properly anchored it might be able to stand alone.
