DIY Cinder Block Kindling Holder

If you use wood on your homestead you are definitely going to need one of these it makes life a whole lot easier. We currently have different wood setups from the diy mud wood stove to the diy propane tank wood stove. This was the main reason why I initially built one of these diy cinder block kindling holder.

Ok, this project is pretty much a super easy assembling project, similar to playing with building blocks or LEGO. As far as the materials, are concerned you should already have these lying around. Otherwise, grab some cinder blocks from a friend, neighbor or local hardware store. Takes about 5 minutes to assemble.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • cinder blocks
  • 2×4 lumber
  • hacksaw
  • marker
  • tape measure

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1.

Measure your 2×4 about 2 to 3 feet in length
and then cut four pieces using your hacksaw.

Step 2.

Lay down your cinder blocks next to each other.

Step 3.

Stick your 2x4s into the outer openings on all
four corners of the cinder block layout.

Step 4.

Lay your kindling in the space in between starting
from the bottom working your way up.

This setup not only helps keeps all your kindling in one place, I also find that helps keep it as dry as possible whether it is set up indoors or outdoors. This is one of the easiest projects I have shared with you guys on this blog. You can even use it to store larger pieces of wood. Go ahead and build yours right away! 🙂
