Why goats love to play so much, is beyond me. I wonder if that is why their young are called ‘kids’. LOL. We have accommodated their playful nature with things such as these diy toys for goats and the diy wooden goat perch. Today, let us add to the list of toys with this diy tetherball goat toy.

You can choose to purchase a brand new tetherball set or you can save money and repurpose an old set. If you know me well, you know that repurposing is the only way to go. We might even just find an old soccer ball and wrap it up with some string, making our own homemade version. There is nothing stopping us from doing that now, is there?

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• tetherball set
• fence post
• screws
• handheld  drill

Your goats will get hours of fun headbutting the ball. The set up is pretty straight forward. Simply mount the pole that comes with the set to a post in that area that your goats’ playground. Make sure that the ball is hanging at a height that allows the goats to headbutt it, but also keeps away from the pole or any other obstacles in the vicinity.
