Black Lemonade Recipe

When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade black, right? You know I like to feature stuff that is a bit out of the ordinary such as the growing holland greens and the growing pink bananas. When I saw this black lemonade recipe, I knew I had to share this with you guys on here.

Your kitchen has most of the required ingredients for this recipe. The only thing you may not already have is the ‘secret ingredient’ also known as activated charcoal that turns the lemonade black. I also found out that this ingredient has many health benefits such teeth whitening, toxin extraction and even helps with anti-aging. What do you know? It turns out this is a super healthy drink! 🙂

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Wash your lemon, and then cut it in half. Use the juicer to squeeze the juice out of the lemon, and then a teaspoon to remove any seeds that may have made their way into the juice. Take the activated charcoal capsules and break them into the lemon juice, which should be in a tall glass.

Add ice and then water to fill the glass to the top. Add a few drops of natural sweetener, how much depends on your own preference. If you don’t have natural sweetener or maple syrup, I guess good ole sugar will have to do. For presentation purposes, garnish your glass with a slice of lemon.
