How To Grow An Avocado Tree

Many health specialists recommend that you add avocado to your diet. I personally try to eat some as much as I can. I remember growing up we had an avocado tree in our backyard. Now I am on a mission to grow an avocado tree in our  homestead from avocado pit. Spent a few hours online doing some research for how to go about doing this. It turns out, as most things tend to do, that it is actually way easier than I thought it would be. I just need to get my hands on an avocado, and enjoy it before starting the whole process.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • An Avocado
  • Toothpicks
  • Shallow bowl
  • Water
  • Knife

The first part is the best part, you get to cut open the avocado and enjoy it. There are many different recipes available, that you can try if you do not want to just enjoy it plain. I don’t mind at all. When you have a full belly you can then prepare the pit, by removing any excess material that may still be on it. As for the inserting the toothpicks, you stick them in so deep it is almost like you are trying to murder the poor pit. LOL. Keep it in a place where it gets a lot of sunshine and change the water every other day. It may take at least 21 days before anything starts to happen, you have to be patient.
