DIY Seed Planting Board

This could be very handy and save you a lot of time when it comes to planting your seeds. It is a seed planting board template that you just push into your prepared bed and it marks 1 inch perfectly spaced holes that you can drop your seeds in.

Your seedlings should come out evenly spaced and it wont take you as long as it would, if you had to mark this out manually. It’s one of those things, you don’t really need but would be nice to have anyway.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 2′ wide piece of plywood
  • Hand Saw
  • 3/4″ wood screws
  • Wine corks
  • Box cutter
  • Liquid Nail
  • Drawer pulls
  • Measuring Tape

The main section of the board is the 2 feet by 2 feet wide plywood. Use your measuring tape to measure 2 inch square grids. Screw in the screws ar each one of the grid points. After which you can then screw on the corks, adding a little liquid nail at the tip of each screw just to make sure that the cork stays in place.

Repeat for each screw and that’s it you have your planting board. Drawer handles on the underside will make it easier to handle the board when you are using it in your garden.
