For those fresh herbs that you need in your kitchen for cooking a herb garden is always recommended. Most people just have a few containers on a window sill in the kitchen area.
However, you can actually have a bigger set up with this diy herb garden made from a pallet. This one is a special one, that is free standing as opposed to many of the other plans which either have it lying on the ground or leaning against a wall. It is still very compact and can be left to stand in very small and tight spaces.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- A wooden pallet
- Three 1X4 boards
- Kreg jig
- Wood screws
- 2 Angled Blocks
- Paint (Optional)
- Vinyl Labels (Optional)
The first step in the construction process is cleaning up your pallet and removing any bad parts. Then you attach the shelves, followed by the wood covers for the front and on the bottom you attach the angled blocks that will enable the garden to stay upright.
You can then paint the wood in your color of choice and attach the labels if you so wish. The end result is a very functional herb garden, that will probably provide you with fresh herbs for many years to come.
