Pan Seared Cod In White Wine Tomato Basil Sauce

OMG! That is one hell of a long title for a recipe, don’t you think? It is almost like a list of all the ingredients that are required. LOL The last time we made fish on this blog it was the easy fish stew recipe. Today for dinner, I will be making this pan seared cod in white wine tomato basil sauce.

Cod is from the Gadidae family of fish and are not often found on most menus. Unless of course you live in a little fishing town that has a good supply of it. I got mine from the local farmers market in town earlier, it has been a while since I made some for my family. You can use frozen cod fillets too, just make sure that you allow them to thaw before cooking them.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

It will take about 15 minutes to wash, clean and prep your ingredients as instructed in the recipe. Once that is done you can preheat the oven and then start working on the white wine tomato basil sauce. When you are done, you can set that aside in a bowl and the start making the cod, which after searing in the pan is placed in the oven for at 5 minutes or so. You simply pour the sauce over the cod to serve! Enjoy 🙂
