Don’t you just hate oil stains on your clothes? Actually, any type of stain is annoying and they usually target your favorite clothes. As it may, a few months back I finally discovered how to remove set in oil stains in clothes and my life has never been the same. My fear of oil stains is gone, bring them on. LOL!

Just like in my garden, I’m personally always seeking out new tips and tricks for my laundry room. The lord knows, you can never have enough of these. Usually, just when you think you have it all figured out you run into an even better method. Although this is a 3 stage process, I love the simplicity. Also, it helps that all the required tools are easily accessible in any home, no matter where you live in the world.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

The first stage in the process involves reviving the old stain in your clothing. You’ll use the WD-40 and the cardboard to achieve this. Once the stain is revived, you can then start working on removing it. The baking soda and the toothbrush are used in the stain lifting process.

As with all things laundry, the final step will be to pop the clothing item in your washing machine followed by a quick spin in the dryer. However, for best results you must first pre-treat the item with either liquid dish or laundry detergent. If the oil stains persist, simply repeat the whole process.
