Forget all those other ridiculously expensive skin care products that cost an arm and a leg, you can now easily make your own at home. Do you remember the posts on the homemade wrinkle cream, the homemade face moisturizer and even the homemade natural hair conditioner? Be sure to check them out, if you haven’t done so already. But before you do that, allow me to share my favorite homemade vitamin c serum recipe.
Have you switched to using homemade all natural beauty products yet? It is really the only way to go to avoid all the harsh chemicals and preservatives that can be found in the store bought versions. For example, this serum recipe only requires 3 all natural ingredients. Why should you consider using vitamin C serum? Well it not only helps reduce your wrinkles, but it also helps your skin repair itself as well as brightening and tightening your skin.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- natural real food vitamin C powder
- distilled water
- small bowl
- vegetable glycerin (optional)
- a dark colored container
Alright, there are two slightly different recipes. The water only one is the easiest to make however it only stores for a mere 2 to 3 weeks. I prefer the other one, which calls for the addition of glycerin too. Not only does it store for longer (about a month or so), it also is gentler and kinder on my skin, as glycerin has amazing moisturizing properties. Whichever one you choose, just make sure that you store your serum in a dark colored container to prevent oxidization of the vitamin C.
