Homemade Chicken Molt Muffins Recipe

When molting season comes along it is important that you make sure that your chickens have enough protein to help them grow new feathers. I found this awesome homemade chicken molt muffins, recipe you can try.

Molt season usually occurs end of summer, when the winter starts to approach and the daylight starts to decrease. Although this recipe is high in protein, it only uses protein that chickens would normally take in their daily diet.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • whole wheat flour
  • manna pro calf manna
  • omega 3 feed supplement
  • cinnamon
  • oatmeal
  • eggs
  • sunflower seeds
  • water
  • coconut oil
  • bananas
  • applesauce
  • food processor
  • muffin cups
  • mixing bowl

We are going to be using the oven to bake this muffins, so before you begin makes sure you preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Then all you need to do is add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, and mix everything well.

When filling the muffin cups, only fill them three quarters of the way up. Place them in the oven for at least 40 minutes. After which you should leave them for an extra 10 minutes so that they become hard and dense. This recipe makes 36 muffins for your chickens. 🙂
