I finally decided that keeping our hose in a huge heap next to our garden was not tidy at all, so I decided to do some research online and find a solution. This project will fall in line with our diy wood pallet tool storage rack as far as storage solutions are concerned. I was lucky to find this diy wood pallet hose holder.
I chose this particular design as it functions both as a hose holder as well as a planter on the top. I will plant some nice flowers in the planter section. Another plus, is that this project allows you to use wood pallets for the wood, and these are usually available for free.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- wood pallets
- 2 x 2s plywood
- wood screws
- wood glue
- water seal
- galvanized hinges
- small door latch
- l-brackets brackets with screws
- right angle brackets with screws
- hardware cloth
- landscaping fabric
- wood screws
- metal handle
- heavy-duty pads
- miter saw
- planer
- kreg jig
- nail gun
- tin snips or wire cutters
- drill with doorknob attachment and screw bits
- staple gun
- scissors
Take your time dismantling your pallets, this is one of my least favorite diy tasks. After the planks have been dismantled they have to be placed on a planner, this helps make them uniform. It is highly recommended that you let the wood sit in a cool dry place for weeks, before you start the project.
When you begin, make all your required cuts first using the miter saw. Then lay all your cuts and start the process of assembling all your cuts. You will be using the nail gun, screws as well as wood glue to attach everything together. The hose caddy is the last thing that you will assemble.
