Oh no! Don’t be that person that leaves your garden hose lying around in a heap, clean up after yourself! LOL We have made quite a few items for your garden from PVC on this blog, from the diy gravity PVC irrigation system to the diy PVC tomato trellis. Today, let us try this diy PVC water hose caddy shall we?
I was browsing a bunch of diy garden PVC projects when this one caught my eye. It is something that we have been contemplating building for our garden. This version is very affordable since it makes use of PVC piping and connections. There are quite a number of cuts that you will have to make, but once that is done it is like building a LEGO set.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 3/4″ Sch. 40 PVC Pipe
- 3/4″ Sch. 40 90-degree elbows
- 3/4″ Sch. 40 tee fittings
- 3/4″ Sch. 40 45-degree elbow
- 3/4″ Sch. 40 cap fittings
- 1/2″ steel rod
- washers
- snap caps
- PVC cement
- PVC pipe cutting tool
- measuring tape
- power drill
- hammer or mallet
- ratcheting PVC pipe cutter
They always say, measure twice cut once and that is what you should definitely do when measuring and cutting the pieces for this project. Start building the from from the base, then move on to the body, the sides and lastly the water hose rack. Use the pvc cement to glue everything together, add your wheels a steel rod drilled into the elbows on the bottom of the frame. Voila, your caddy is ready! 🙂
