DIY PVC Cover For Raised Beds

I cannot think of anything more annoying than waking up or heading out to your garden and seeing all your veggies munched on by wild animals such as deer or rabbits. This is when this diy raised bed PVC cover comes handy.

Personally, I love PVC projects, they tend to be simple but the structures you build are very sturdy. Oh and I almost forget to mention how light and portable these structures can be too. PVC pipe is affordable and if you do not have any extra lying around, you can just grab some at your local hardware.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • half inch pvc pipe
  • chicken wire
  • plastic sheet or garden fencing
  • hooks
  • eyes
  • electrical ties
  • hacksaw
  • screw driver

Measure your PVC pipes and make sure the two are of equal lengths before cutting them. The hooks and eyes are then attached to each of the four corners. These will hold the pvc pipes and the cover in place. The cover has the pipes cris crossing at the top where they are bound together using electrical ties.

Before placing the plastic garden fencing you can install chicken wire for added protection too. That is what I did with mine, and I think it also helps keep the whole cover in one piece too. What I love about this cover is that you can lift it up and work on your raised bed, and then you can just slip it back in when you are done.
