DIY Brick Garden Bench

Sometimes when you have been working hard in the garden all day, you just want a place to sit down and rest. In one corner of our garden I have setup this diy simple outdoor bench, which is located under a shady tree. Last week, I saw this diy brick garden bench on Pinterest and decided to set it up in the other corner.

If you have ever played with Lego blocks, then you will not have any problems with this simple project. No mortar is needed, just simply lay one brick on top of another. The actual seat itself is made from repurposed wooden boards. Avoid using any lumber that is rotting or exposed to termites, for obvious safety reasons. LOL

  • re-purposed wooden boards
  • shovel (optional)

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1.

Clear and level the area you want to build your bench.

Step 2.

Start laying your bricks on one side, until the desired
level is reached and then repeat on the other side.

Step 3.

Lay your wooden seat across, the two brick supports and
make sure that it is securely in place.

Step 4.

It is now time to test your bench, by sitting on it
to make sure that it is secure and stable.
