Shrimp And Sausage Skillet Recipe

Every now and again, I like to make a seafood meal for the family. Just like the other quick meals, the sheet pan chicken with sweet potatoes recipe and this garlic herb roasted potatoes recipe, they sure love this one too. This shrimp and sausage skillet recipe, gives them the best of both worlds. So what is there not to like, huh?

Within just 20 minutes, you can have this ready to serve at least 4 people. Don’t worry if you do not have some of the veggies listed below, simply substitute with whatever you have available. If you are on the Paleo diet, then you are in luck as this healthy and nutritious recipe is a perfect fit for that lifestyle. I use homemade sausage most of the time, again the choice is completely up to you.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Heat the oil on medium heat in the large skillet. In a bowl, season your shrimp with old bay seasoning befor cooking it in the skillet for up to 4 minutes. It should turn an opaque color before you can temporarily remove from the heat. Then it is time to cook your veggies in the skillet.

Saute the the onions and bell peppers for 2 minutes before adding the zucchini as well as the sausage. Let the new ingredients cook for 2 minutes, then re-introduce the shrimp with some garlic and allow that to cook for an extra 60 seconds or so. The chicken stock is mixed in next and then season with the red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. The meal is ready, feel free to add parsley garnish when you serve.
