Most of the time when you buy ham, it is cheaper to buy a big ham. But what do you do with all the extra ham? How about canning your ham, for future use.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • ham
  • pressure canner
  • quart mason jars
  • knife
  • vinegar
  • dish towel
  • jar lifter

Make sure that your jars are clean and keep them hot and ready for the canner. The ham will have to be cut using the knife into nice big chunks that can fit into your jars.

Do not add any water or broth to the jars, the ham will produce its own juices. At 10 pounds of pressure, the canning process will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
