How to Make Homemade Liquors

Just because you are living off grid, does not necessarily mean that one should not have a little alcohol every now and again. I always try to enjoy some ‘luxury’ items such as this homemade twix bars recipe and this homemade doritos recipe . Let us take a look at how to make your own homemade liquor.

This fruit brandy recipe calls for only 3 main ingredients and takes about 15 minutes to prepare. Most of the time is taken up by preparation. You can use the same recipe to make various different liquors based on the fruit that you prefer. The only down side, is how long you have to wait before you can enjoy the liquor.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • mason jars
  • fresh fruit
  • sugar
  • cheap vodka
  • colander
  • coffee filter
  • tape
  • marker
  • airtight glass bottles

The first thing you have to do is sterilize your jars, and then leave them to cool. You can then start filling the jars with your fruit, all the way up to the neck. The sugar is added next, before you fill in the jar with vodka. Screw on the lids, and place some tape on each lid. Mark the date using the marker.

Place the jar on the counter where you can see it daily. It will take about 90 days before you can enjoy your liquor, every day you should flip the jar. Use the colander to strain out the fruit and a coffee filter further strain. Store in air tight glass bottles. Enjoy responsibly! 🙂
