Not only is it all natural, it wont cost you anything to treat your chickens. Just burn wood in your fireplace as you normally would do and keep the ash.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• wood ash
• sand or dry soil
• shovel
• sandbox (optional)
• rake (optional)

Since your chickens already love bathing in dust, all you have to do is provide them with wood ash to bathe in on their coop floor. The sand is used to weigh down the ash.

Mix two and a half parts wood ash to one part sand. Use the rake to keep the wood ash clean and remove any chicken poop. Alternatively, a sandbox does an even better job at keeping the wood ash clean for longer.
