This is yet another simple process. You can save your watermelon and then use it in your juices and smoothies, during the winter months.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • watermelon
  • serrated knife
  • cookie sheet
  • kitchen towel
  • ziploc bags

Make sure you wash the watermelon, before you start cutting and removing the rind. Steph cuts hers a special way, which allows the watermelon to stand on the cutting board on its end, making it easier to handle.

Cut the fresh watermelon into cubes and allow these to lie on a cookie sheet in your freezer for a few hours. When frozen remove from the cookie sheet and store in a ziploc bag for a few months.
