Homemade Worcestershire Sauce

I love this sauce and I tend to use it on a lot of things. The funny thing is even at my age I still have problems pronouncing it. Maybe it is because I am not British. Nevertheless, today I ran into this Homemade Worcestershire Sauce recipe online.

Do not be intimidated by the long list of ingredients below. It is is actually very easy to make your own batch of this sauce. As far as the taste is concerned, it is very similar to the store bought version

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • apple cider vinegar
  • molasses
  • soy sauce
  • honey
  • fish sauce
  • pepper
  • garlic
  • onion powder
  • chili powder
  • cinnamon or ground clove
  • ground ginger
  • lime juice
  • small saucepan
  • blender
  • dressing bottle
  • small bowl with cover (optional)

I love recipes where you just take all the ingredients and through them into a pot or bowl and mix everything together. This is one of those recipes. You have to bring the saucepan to a boil before letting it simmer under low heat for about 10 minutes.

Let cool for a few minutes before blending. To make it sweeter add more honey, spicier add more chili powder and sour add more vinegar. Store in a bottle or small covered bottle in your fridge for up to 30 days. This recipe makes approximately one cup of sauce.
