Homemade Nutella Recipe

OMG! Excuse me if I sound a little too excited today, because I really am excited. I love me some nutella and today I ran into this homemade nutella recipe online.

As with everything homemade this version is healthier and has more hazelnuts in it than the store bought version. It only costs about $5.00 to make, especially if you get a great deal on hazelnuts.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • hazelnuts
  • cocoa powder
  • melted coconut oil
  • maple syrup
  • vanilla
  • water
  • food processor
  • air tight mason jar or container
  • cookie baking sheet

You can’t just pop your hazelnuts into your nutella you have to roast them for at least 10 minutes, silly. Then you have to skin them and place them into the food processor for at least a minute. The other ingredients are added and combined one by one to the mixture.

Water is your consistency aid, pour in as little or as much as you need. This recipe makes about 1 and a half cups of homemade nutella. You don’t have to eat it all at once, you can store it in a sealed jar or container in your fridge for at least a few weeks.
