Homemade Natural Garden Ant Killer

Every so often we see a new ant pile show up in either our backyard or garden. Since I am only interested in natural solutions such as the homemade and homemade, I did my research online and I am thrilled to share with you this easy home natural garden ant killer.

It is a super simple solution that only requires one ingredient, that you can usually purchase for a dollar or a little more at your local store. This makes it an affordable as well as chemical free solution too. The real kicker is that as simple as it seems, this actually works like a charm.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • club soda or carbonated water

All you have to do is identify your ant pile, then simply pour about half a litre club soda into the center of the pile and all around it too. For harder to kill ants, such as fire ants you may have to apply the club soda twice to effectively get rid of them. Allow at least 48 hours for all the ants to die.

How does it work? Club soda has carbon dioxide in it. The carbonation process uses up all the oxygen available in the colony and this ultimately kills the queen. All the other ants within, then follow suit, before you know it the whole colony is no more.
