Homemade Natural Dish Soap Recipe

It is a sad reality, but every single day dishes have to be done in every household, regardless of whether you are living the city or off grid. I really enjoy making my own homemade stuff, so would it not be great if you knew how to make your own homemade natural dish soap?

After a little research online, I found out there are many different recipes you can use. One of the popular ones, uses baking soda and grated soap. However, I wanted one that uses all natural ingredients, that were either available for free or affordable.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • empty squeeze bottle
  • kitchen funnel
  • 2 cups of castile oil
  • 5 drops of lemon essential oils
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of vinegar

Step By Step Instructions:

1. Pour your Castile oil down the funnel into your mixing container.

2. Add  lemon essential oils, which provide a great scent,
but are also anti bacterial as well as anti fungal.

3. Add the water, make sure to wash down the sides of the funnel.

4. Add the lemon juice either straight from a lemon or as concentrate.

5. Last but not least, pour in the vinegar and give it a good shake.

Remember to shake the bottle well before each use. This recipe produces a dish soap that is neither too watery or too soapy. Thanks to Elizabeth from Notacoolmum.com for the awesome recipe.
