Homemade Hot Fudge Recipe

After chocolate, my next favorite sticky brown thing to enjoy has to be fudge. Before today they only version I knew of was the store bought one. However I discovered this homemade hot fudge recipe.

All of the ingredients except the chocolate are readily available in any kitchen. You may have to do a little shopping around to discover the best chocolate to use for this recipe.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • heavy cream
  • light corn syrup
  • dark brown sugar
  • unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • unsalted butter
  • vanilla extract
  • heavy saucepan
  • mason jars
  • salt (optional)

This recipe is very simple. The bulk of the ingredients are dropped into the saucepan and left to melt before being allowed to boil at a low heat for about 5 minutes. Do not forget to keep stirring.

Total preparation time is about 10 minutes. Allow the fudge to cool a little before serving. Any left over fudge can be put into a mason jar stored in the fridge for up to 7 days.
