There are some things in life that have become daily essentials, that we automatically just buy without calculating the cost. We have made homemade sunscreen lotion and homemade natural deodorant recipe previous post, so today I thought maybe we should make some homemade hand sanitizer gel recipe.
It is very simple to make this, you actually only need 4 ingredients. This does not make it work any less than the store bought version. However, like all homemade recipes this one eliminates all the harsh chemicals that are usually added to the store bought versions.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
- 1/2 cup of aloe vera gel
- 1/4 cup of witch hazel
- 9 drops of tree tea oil
- spoon or spatula
- plastic cup or small bowl
- 6 ounce small empty squeeze bottle
- funnel (optional)
- rubbing alcohol (optional)
- essential oils (optional)
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1.
Measure your aloe vera gel into your plastic cup or small bowl.
Step 2.
Pour the witch hazel or alcohol into the plastic cup or small bowl.
Step 3.
Add your tea tree oil and mix well with the spoon. If the mixture is too thick
you can add a little more witch hazel to thin it out.
Step 4.
Carefully transfer the contents of the plastic cup into your squeeze bottle.
Use a funnel if you have a bottle with a small neck.
Step 5.
Wipe the outside of the bottle with a paper towel, before screwing on the lid.
There you go! Your own homemade hand sanitizer, that takes less than 5 minutes to make. If you find the scent a bit too harsh, you can add a few drops of any of your favorite essential oils, such as lavender or peppermint oil. So easy even a caveman could do it! 🙂
