Homemade Fudgesicle Recipe

What is the difference between a fudgesicle and a popsicle? Who cares they all taste really good especially in the heat of summer. We made homemade ice cream before and those were a hit. Nevertheless I still decided to try my luck with this homemade fudgesicle recipe I found online.

I love this recipe! Not only is it very simple, it only requires 5 ingredients, which are readily available in most kitchens. I don’t know if you can substitute the milk, with soy or almond milk but it most likely is possible. You should already have popsicle molds in your kitchen, if not this maybe the perfect time to get some.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • cocoa powder
  • sugar
  • corn syrup
  • milk
  • vanilla
  • popsicle molds
  • medium pan
  • whisk

You can either use a separate bowl or just go ahead and mix your cocoa powder and sugar well in the pan, using the whisk. Next you just add the corn syrup, followed by the vanilla before placing the pan on low heat.

The hardest part of the whole process is the whisking, which you should continue doing as you add the milk until we have a well blended and dissolved mixture. If it is still too hot, you may want to let it cool for a while before you pour into the molds. Place in the freezer and allow to freeze for at least 6 hours.
