Homemade Fresh Cranberry Juice

There is just something that makes having fresh stuff, especially veggies and fruits more enjoyable. I have already shown you how to make homemade apple juice and even homemade root beer. I am really excited to share with my favorite homemade fresh cranberry juice recipe with you today.

It seems like most cranberry recipes are festive season themed. Therefore, it is really nice having something that you can make through out the year. If you grow your own cranberries, this recipe is not going to cost you anything to make. But even if you have to buy them, they are not overly expensive especially from your local farmers market. As far as the sweetener is concerned, you can substitute the maple syrup with either honey or stevia.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • fresh cranberries
  • water
  • maple syrup
  • large pot
  • strainer

Although you will be boiling your cranberries in a pot of water, I would recommend that you give them a wash first. When allowed to simmer for about 15 minutes after the water begins to boil, the berries become soft and start to pop open. The best way to separate the juice from the berries is by using a strainer. All that is left to do is to sweeten your juice, before bottling and eventually storing your fridge.
