Homemade Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

I got hooked onto the origional cinnabuns before we moved to our homestead. In order to feed my cravings I had to search for a similar homemade cinnamon rolls recipe.

The one I found is not only easy to make it makes rolls that taste just as good but with all the delicious homemade goodness. There are no special ingredients needed, you should have all you need lying around in your kitchen.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • active dry yeast
  • warm milk
  • granulated sugar
  • butter
  • salt
  • eggs
  • flour
  • brown sugar
  • cinnamon
  • powdered sugar
  • cream cheese
  • vanilla
  • salt
  • rolling pin
  • large bowl
  • baking pan or cookie sheet
  • bread machine (optional)

You start with the dough for the rolls, so you can let it lay aside for about 45 minutes to allow it to rise to double its original size. Next the butter, salt, eggs and the rest of the flour are added and mixed into the mixture. You have to knead the dough for at least 5 minutes leaving it sticky on a floured surface.

Then place the dough in a geased bowl and let stand for about 60 minutes. After which you roll it out thinly about a quater inche thick. Make the filling and spread it over the dough before rolling it a roll. Cut into equal pieces and place on your baking sheet.

Bake in a preheated oven for up to 25 minutes at 375 degrees F. They should be golden brown when ready.Make the icing while they bake and spread it on the rolls when they are done. If you have a bread machine you can save yourself some time, when it comes to waiting for the dough to rise. These are really delicious, enjoy! 😉
