Homemade Bisquick Recipe

When was the last time you baked some biscuits or cookies? If you are almost as busy as I usually am, it maybe a while. The good news is just like the homemade instant chocolate and the homemade no kneed bread recipe, I think I have found the easiest way to make this homemade bisquick recipe.

It takes just a few minutes to whip up this recipe. Then you can store it, and use save you some time when you need to make a batch. Unlike the store bought version, you can make yours healthier by choosing to use organic ingredients. My girls love making this with me, so we actually turn this into a fun family activity in the kitchen.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Place your bowl on the kitchen counter and add all the dry except the shortening. Mix everything together. Next you will cut in the shortening. You can use your hands, a pastry cutter or a food processor to do this. The last option is probably the easiest one, if you have access to a food processor.

The best mix to start with is half cup of the flour mix to a similar amount of shortening. After blending the two parts together, you can slowly add the rest. Store in airtight containers or jars for a few months. This homemade mix can be used to make pancakes, biscuits and waffles.
