Homemade Apple Juice Recipe

I can’t believe I still had not featured this basic homemade recipe on this blog yet. Come to think of if there haven’t really been any juice recipes I have shared with you guys. Anyway today we are going to change that with this homemade apple juice recipe.

This simple recipe only requires three ingredients of which two of them are optional. This is super healthy juice without the chemicals and preservatives that you find in the store version. Including 20 minutes of prep time it will take you about an hour to prepare yourself a batch. Even better you can make some applesauce from the leftover apple mush!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • apples
  • cinnamon (optional)
  • sugar (optional)
  • large saucepan
  • water
  • knife
  • cutting board
  • ladle
  • large bowl
  • coffee filter or cheesecloth
  • fine mesh strainer
  • apple corer

You do not have to peel your apples, just wash them thoroughly and core them to remove the seeds. On your cutting board, cut the apples into slices. Transfer to your saucepan and cover with just enough water. Bring to a boil for about 25 minutes and then strain the juice over your bowl.

As you strain the juice, the soft apples should be mashed too. Allow to cool before tasting and adding sugar or cinnamon as needed. If the juice is too strong you can always add more water to dilute it. Store in your fridge for up to 7 days. This recipe makes 8 servings.
