Homemade Alfredo Sauce Recipe

The funny thing, is I have made and used this sauce for many years, it just occurred to me that I still haven’t shared this with you guys. I mean after all I have shared all my other recipes from the homemade grape juice recipe to the homemade root beer recipe. Today let us add my favorite homemade alfredo sauce recipe to the list.

What if I told you that I have also discovered other uses for this sauce besides the Fettuccine Alfredo? Yep you can add it to your potato gratin, homemade pizza instead of tomato sauce, baked potatoes, eggs Benedict as well as buttermilk fried chicken. It’s alright to make way more than you need!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • butter
  • cream cheese
  • garlic powder
  • milk
  • grated parmesan cheese
  • black pepper
  • medium saucepan
  • wire whisk

Turn on your stove, to medium heat and melt your butter in the saucepan. When melted you can go ahead and add the garlic powder as well as the cream cheese. Use the wire whisk to stir well until the mixture is nice and smooth. Slowly add the milk in small batches, taking care to whisk out all the lumps that may form.

The Parmesan cheese and the pepper are last to go in. Continue stirring until your sauce is your desired consistency. If it gets too thick, just add more milk. Serve hot with your pasta, or whatever else you decide to use the sauce for. Any leftovers, can be stored in a canning jar for up to a week in your fridge. This one is really delicious, don’t say I didn’t warn ya! 🙂
