DIY Wood Pallet Christmas Tree

Why not try something different this Christmas? Instead of the traditional green Christmas tree with either real green leaves or fake ones, you can build this diy wood pallet christmas tree, instead.

What I always love about wood pallet projects is of course the fact that you can get pallets for free and you get to repurpose them, saving the environment. This project will be a fun one for the whole family.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • wood pallet
  • christmas decorations
  • white paint
  • christmas lights
  • nails
  • snow flake
  • star
  • star candle
  • star foil
  • hammer
  • log

My favorite wood pallet projects are ones that do not require dismantling the pallets. Thanks Julie, this one is merely just decorating the pallet. I have seen others that require you to cut out the pallet, that just seems like so much work.

Make sure your pallet is free of any spiders and bugs before painting it and placing the nails in a zig zag starting at the top. She provides a diagram to guide you on where to place your nails.

The lights go on first following the nails, then the star garland, followed by hanging the stars and the ornaments in the right place. She chose a gold and silver theme for the tree but you can choose your own color scheme. When the holiday season is over just store it away, and reuse it next year.
