DIY Wood Pallet Chicken Dust Bath

Are you ready for yet another wood pallet project? I think the last ones we did were the diy wood pallet garden and the diy wood pallet goat barn which surprisingly turned out pretty good. Well ready or not, here it comes your diy wood pallet chicken dust bath.

I do not think I can stress how much I love these projects that repurpose or upscale stuff. Especially the ones that use wood pallets, which I can often get for free in the small town we live close by. Getting free or cheap stuff always makes these projects affordable and more fun.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • wood pallets
  • wood crews
  • hand drill
  • crow bar
  • dust
  • milter saw (optional)

Unfortunatey, this project requires you to strip down the pallets which is one of my least favorite things to do. I delegate that to the hubby. There is quite a few to dismantle as many as three, the boards will be used to fill in the frame of the other pallet.

Once you have freed the boards from the other pallets, you can start to attach them on to the bare frame of the other pallet. Just attach it using the drill and the wood screws. The sides also need to be made deeper, so attach some boards to those too. There voila, you have a dust bath for your girls.
