DIY Vinegar Bottle Chicken Waterer

When the chickens need water in the coop, you have no choice but to give them some water, right? I don’t believe we have ever bought a single waterer on our homestead, we just make our own. Remember the diy pvc soda bottle chicken waterer and the diy chicken nipple waterer? Here’s another one you could try to build, it is the diy vinegar bottle chicken waterer.

Really, you can use any empty one gallon plastic container you can find, it doesn’t have to be the vinegar one. There is also some milk and orange juice ones, for example. The project itself is super easy, you can build one of these waterers in 5 to 10 minutes. Some of the advantages of using this type of waterer include cleaner, less poppy water and being ‘automatic’.
