DIY Sandwich Board A-Frame

There are many vegetables that you can grow in your garden that require support, in order to grow well. We have built different trellis in previous posts like the diy wood pallet pumpkin trellis and the diy tomato trellis. The diy sandwich board A frame we are going to look at today is perfect for vertical vegetable gardening.

These frames are pretty easy to build an do not require a lot of materials. They are also very portable, making it easy to store them away for the winter and reuse next season. You can also grow vegetables with deep roots by adding more boards to the planters on the bottom.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • fence boards
  • jigsaw
  • wood screws
  • metal hinges
  • poultry or garden netting
  • manual heavy duty stapler
  • hand drill and bits
  • sturdy scissors or wire cutters

We begin the project by building the two main frames. The fence boards need to be cut and then laid on the ground so you can screw them into place. When the frames are ready, you can attach the hinges just make sure they are evenly spaced.

In order to attach the netting, you have to make the frame stand upright. Using the staple gun, start from the outside of the bottom. The netting has to be rolled up and over the other frame before attaching it to the outside bottom. Your frame is ready for the garden.
