DIY PVC Pig Waterer

Ok, I have been giving the ‘girls’ way too much attention over the last couple of weeks. So today, I will be flipping the focus to the hogs. We have made the diy pig watering bowl and the diy portable pig pen in previous posts. I wanted to share this diy pvc pig waterer that I saw a few weeks back with you.

As God is my witness we have gone through a whole lot of pig waterer designs. The problem is these animals are so destructive, that you either have to spend a lot of money erecting a super durable structure or else you will find yourself constantly replacing your waterer. By using the PVC pipe you cut down the costs of the project, just make sure you opt for the heavy duty PVC pipe.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

Measure your PVC pipe and then cut it to the desired length. In order to make the hole for the valve you will need to drill a hole using the drill. The surfaces of the pipe need to be cleaned with the orange oil and the alcohol, before you apply the plumbers putty and cement for a water tight seal. Test for leaks by filling up the pipe with water, before securing the waterer to the side of your pig pen.
