Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 1 gallon or 1/2 gallon plastic milk jug
  • sharp knife
  • scissors
  • packing tape (inside use) or duct tape (outside use)
  • potting soil
  • seeds

As with most project, give your milk jugs a good wash before you cut them. The cut is about 4 inches from the bottom but keeps the back section attached and that becomes the hinge.

Potting soil is added, then your seeds. Water the seeds so that it is damp but not too wet. Close the top and tape up the sides. Germination should start within a few days. Place in an east or south facing window if inside.
