This is a great way to re-purpose metal barrel, which funny enough always end up being some sort of cooking apparatus, like a bbq grill or smoker. LOL

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 30 gallon metal barrel
  • cutting torch or grinder
  • stove pipe and flue with a damper built in
  • sheet metal screws
  • cordless drill
  • screw driver/drill
  • metal door latch
  • metal door hinges

The ring on the top of the barrel has to be removed before you flip the barrel upside down so you can remove the top of the barrel. This top piece will be inserted inside the barrel and used as the floor of your oven.

This outdoor oven has a total of 3 cooking areas. The top is ideal for slow cooking, as a griddle or boiling water, the oven is where you will bake your bread and you can grill on a rack right above the coals.
