DIY Mason Jar Solar Lights

I saw these solar lights and I thought there were so cute, I had to share them with you. Normally you would mason jars for canning but how about making diy mason jar solar lights instead?

Don’t worry if you do not have any old solar lights lying around, you can just go but some from a local Walmart or dollar store. The wire should be available there too or at any hardware store.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • mason glass jars
  • bailing wire
  • solar garden lights
  • pliers
  • jar lids
  • glue
  • utility knife
  • hooks (optional)

I think it will be easier to start with cutting out the square sections on the lids, where you will be attaching your solar lights. You could opt to dismantle the solar lights first too.

Make sure that you use strong glue to attach the solar light fixture to the lid and also that the wire you loop you create is strong enough to hold your jar. This is a pretty easy project to do.
