DIY CD Case Greenhouse

Every now and again I run into some really cool ideas and this is one of them. This diy CD case greenhouse, looks complicated to build but Meg vows that it is not at all.

If you have a whole bunch of CDs in a rack, you can remove the booklets and use those. Otherwise, visit a dollar store and get yourself some cases to use for this project. A great way to reuse and repurpose old CD cases too.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • old CD cases
  • plastic glue
  • painter’s tape
  • safety glasses
  • tweezers
  • craft knife
  • ruler
  • cutting board
  • large flat surface

Make sure you have clean cases before you start. The first thing you want to do is establish your four walls. A lot of Patience is required when it comes time to cut the CD cases.

The size of your greenhouse will determine the number of cases you need. Meg made one that is about 11″x 18″ x 20″ and she used 40 cases. She also recommends you have a few extra just in case you break some when you are cutting them.
