30 Minute Homemade Jam Recipe

My grandma used to make her own jam, and it tasted soooo good. Today, I found this easy homemade jam recipe from Alicia, that takes less than 30 minutes to make.

I love that this recipe can make jam from any of your favorite fruits. For example, you can use strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, cherries, blackberries, apricots and more. She says, you can even mix and match e.g. strawberry-peach jam.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • fresh fruit
  • food processor or blender
  • pectin
  • sugar
  • medium saucepan
  • water or unsweetened apple juice
  • mason jars or plastic containers
  • sharp knife (optional)
  • potato masher (optional)
  • wooden spoon (optional)
  • water bath canner (optional)

The first step involves washing and draining your fruit. If you do not have a food processor don’t worry you can cut the fruit with a knife and then mash it manually with a wooden spoon or potato masher.

What makes this recipe easier than other jam recipes is that the jam can be frozen instead of canning. Just fill your mason jars about half an inch to the top, screw on the lids and refrigerate overnight before freezing. To enjoy, simply thaw overnight in your fridge.
